Teen Playwriting Masterclass: April 2nd

PLAYWRITING MASTERCLASS
April 2nd, 2022 / 12pm-1:30pm

On April 2nd, from 12pm-1:30pm, PlayGround is offering a comprehensive Playwriting Masterclass via zoom for high school-aged students interested in learning how to write plays, with an emphasis on the ten-minute play. This class is a perfect primer for those planning to submit for this year’s Young Playwrights Contest (the deadline of which has been extended to Monday, April 25th) and will be free for Bay Area high school students.

The workshop will be led by PlayGround’s co-founder and artistic director, Jim Kleinmann, who has helped curate 28 seasons of new plays by local Bay Area playwrights. In this workshop, participants will learn to think deeply and critically as writers and begin to cultivate their own writing voice.
