Madeleine Butler was invited to be part of the writers’ room for THE SINS & SECRETS OF TABARD LAKE, a serial radio drama created by Three Girls Theatre Company. Described as “pandemic noir, ” the tongue-in-check drama revolves around six actors who are stranded with long-buried secrets, a vengeful playwright, and no place to hide. Madeline co-wrote an episode with Marie Cartier, which was enormous fun. The prologue is available now, and a new episode will drop weekly for 8 weeks beginning on April Fool’s Day. Madeline Puccioni’s WAR BABIES, which was developed for PlayGround SF, and featured in a Monday Night PlayGround show, will be published in Qu Literary Magazine in May. WAR BABIES was based on a true story — a few years ago, I discovered my closest DNA match was a 76 year old Korean woman. She did not share her contact information, so I was unable to email her. It seems my uncle, who was stationed in Seoul in the 50’s, in the Korean war, had a Korean daughter…. many such stories are now coming to light. More info can be found here.

Aaron Higareda is going to be an MFA playwright at the University of California, Riverside’s Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts Program! He is definitely going to miss the Bay Area Theater Community, but is excited to take all the knowledge, skills and experiences he’s gained thus far and put it to good use in Southern California. He wishes to thank all the artists, administrators, and audience members he’s crossed paths with especially everyone at PlayGround!

Emilie Talbot just finished shooting the short film “SONDER” in San Francisco. IN PERSON. It was delightful to be in space with actors again in safe and thoughtful way.
