Ruben Grijalva’s play ANNA CONSIDERS MARS is being remounted at Stanford’s Nitery Theatre, featuring Melissa Ortiz, Christian Hanes, Soren Olivier, Wilma Bonet, Aaron Wilton and Katie Rubin.
Lynn Aylward’s ten-minute play, SNOW GA-D’OH, developed for Playground, was a finalist in the Bonita Spring Art Center’s Stage It! Festival. The play will also have a stage reading at the San Francisco Public Main Library on October 29.
Michael Barrett Austin is playing Orlando in San Francisco Shakespeare Company’s new musical version of AS YOU LIKE IT, FREE in parks around the Bay Area from now through September! Sfshakes.org
Rachel Bublitz is thrilled for her new commissioned historical drama, THE NIGHT WITCHES, to open at the Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival, produced by the Egyptian YouTheatre, which runs August 3-11th. Tickets available here. Also coming up in August, a reading of her full-length RIPPED with The Road Theatre Company in their Summer Playwrights Festival 10. Finally Rachel has a new ten-minute play published with YouthPLAYS; a Christmas horror-comedy called THE ELVES, which can be purchased and licensed here.
Lizzy Calogero is playing Jill Hawkins in the SF Mime Troupe’s TREASURE ISLAND, at venues around the Bay Area and beyond. For the full schedule, go to the troupe’s website.
Ron Campbell raps up the final weeks of playing the emcee Eddie in THE SPEAKEASY and goes into rehearsal for THE 39 STEPS at TheatreWorks next week. HIs short film DUNK, based on a Playground submission is getting final touches before being entered into several film festivals next month.

Rosie Hallett will be performing in FATHER/DAUGHTER at the TheatreWorks New Works Festival in August.
Daryl Anthony Harper can be heard narrating multiple regional Honda commercial spots on TV and Radio for the new End of Summer/Back To School campaign!
Sam Hurwitt has a full-length play, “Bad Tendency: The Vexing Case of Anita Whitney,” in development for TheatreFIRST’s new works festival next May.
Julia McNeal just finished a super-fast, deeply exciting run of VISIBLE FROM FOUR STATES by Barbara Hammond – produced by the Magic, with community participation – at the Exit Theatre this July, and starts rehearsal in August for TOP GIRLS at A.C.T., opening mid-September.Evelyn Jean Pine performs her one-woman play, FREELOADER IN THE HOUSE OF LOVE at the Boulder Fringe Festival August 15- 24.
