In Solidarity
PlayGround is committed to diversity and equity, to uplifting marginalized voices, both on and off the stage. We stand in solidarity, in anger, and in compassion with the family of George Floyd, with the #BlackLivesMatter movement, and those protesting in Minneapolis, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and all around the country. We will show this commitment by continuing to provide artists and audiences of color with a platform to self-determine, to tell and share their own stories, and to challenge stereotypes, misrepresentations and misappropriation. We champion working artists with a focus on diversity, accessibility and representation and will actively work toward justice for all in the work we create and how we create that work. We believe that change will come when we all step forward together and play a role. Take action. Act now. Act.
