JUST ANNOUNCED: APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR FREE-PLAY 2025!

PlayGround will close out the summer season with the fourth annual FREE-PLAY FESTIVAL. This four-week “fringe style” new works festival features productions from highly sought-after theatre artists from across the country including four PlayGround artists based in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.

Please use this form to submit your application for the non-curated 2025 Free-Play Festival (August 1-24, 2025). Applications must be received by 11:59pm on March 24, 2025. Lottery selections will be completed and announced by March 28, 2025. Free-Play Festival licensing fees for selected projects are due no later than April 30, 2025. New this year: Producers can choose to book either three or four performances as part of the festival! Details here.
