Kimberly Ridgeway is directing the World Premiere of Jewelle Gomez’ “Unpacking in P’Town” at New Conservatory Theatre Center (NCTC) in San Francisco from March 1 – 31, 2024. Learn more here.
Julia Brothers is off to Florida Studio Theatre to do The White Chip, written and directed by Sean Daniels. If you find yourself in Sarasota in March, go to the Ringling Brothers Museum and come see The White Chip! We can go to the beach together! Tickets are available here.
Cherielyn Ferguson‘s short play, Beach House, will be featured March 2 — 3 in The Storefront Theatre’s 10-minute play festival. Located in Waxhaw, NC, The Storefront is a reader’s theatre producing its 11th festival. Find out about the show here.
Norman Gee is currently understudying BIG DATA with A.C.T. He is Artistic Director of Oakland Public Theater, and Associate Producer with PlayGround-SF. He recently played Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing with Sparc/Livermore, traveled last spring to France in HOME with Word for Word, and before that in Meet John Doe and Great Expectations at San Jose Stage. Norman also performed Water By The Spoonful at SF Playhouse, and the SF Mime Troupe’s Back To The Way Things Were. Jonathan Josephson‘s CHUBBY BUNNY, the marshmallow comedy-that-could, will have its 24th production in May. His new short play TERRORS ACROSS THE UNIVERSE will be a part of Force of Nature’s Beatles-themed shorts festival “ALL YOU NEED IS RUSH,” March 23-25. Set “Across the Universe, the larger than life comedy features love-spurned intergalactic conquest-ors uniting to defeat ravenous Terrors (as manifested by twin 13-year-old theatre kids that threaten the very fabric of existence). This silliness will be Jonathan’s 50th produced play, more info here.
Steve Koppman‘s short play The Pessimists’ Club was shortlisted by Short & Sweet Hollywood.
Louis Parnell will be doing a reading of a new play by Joe Woolf titled AI THREESOME at the Ross Valley Players on March 17, 2024. Directed by Bruce Kaplan, the reading is at 7pm. Ticket info available at Ross Valley Players.
Maury Zeff‘s three stories will be presented in the New Short Fiction Series, including “The Beautiful Moment” (about a North Korean soccer player), as a live, streamed performance by actors March 27. More info is available here.
