Aaron Loeb’s THE TRIALS OF SAM HOUSTON will be premiered at the Dallas Theater Center, directed by artistic director, Kevin Moriarty.  It will run from April 20-May 13, 2018.

Theatre First’s latest production, PARTICIPANTS, is a theatrical exploration that delves into how we individually and communally act in times of social and political unrest. It features a number of PlayGround alumni and regulars: playwrights Aaron Loeb and Geetha Reddy, as well as directors John Patrick Moore, May Liang, Jessa Brie Moreno, Brit Frazier, and Elizabeth Carter, among others. PARTICIPANTS performs at Live Oak Theatre in Berkeley through December 23.

Lauren Yee’s new work THE GREAT LEAP was commissioned for co-productions at Denver Center for the Performing Arts and Seattle Rep.  Directed by Eric Ting, it will run at the Denver Center from February 2-March 11, 2018.

Christopher Aguilar is an associate producer on the play ROTTERDAM at the Skylight Theatre in Los Feliz. A queer love story about all of us, the play runs till the end of December. Rachel Bublitz‘s full-length play HAPPILY will receive a staged reading with Quantum Dragon Theatre on Monday, January 8th at 7:30pm at Shotgun Studios in Berkeley.

Evelyn Jean Pine will be a resident writer at the Djerassi Foundation in Woodside, CA beginning January 2018.

Madeline Puccioni  is a member of Towne Street Theatre.  They are seeking 10 minute plays for their 10th annual 8×10@8 Festival.  The chosen plays could have a full production in the gorgeous old Stella Adler Theatre, in Hollywood.   For details, visit
