Jon Tracy’s company TheatreFIRST presents BETWEEN US, seven solo plays presented in 2 separate events that run in rep.  It will feature works by Jeffrey Lo, Katie May, Cleavon Smith, and Jon Tracy.  Between Us runs through March 10 at then Live Oak Theatre in Berkeley.  http://theatrefirst.com/between-us/

Part comedy, part mystery and part rock concert, playwright Lauren Yee’s CAMBODIAN ROCK BAND explores an overlooked chapter of history—1970s Cambodia with its vibrant surf-rock music scene and then under the Khmer Rouge regime. The play features songs by the Long Beach-based band Dengue Fever. The world premiere of this South Coast Repertory commission is directed by Chay Yew on the Julianne Argyros Stage, March 4-25. Monday Night PlayGround writers Jerome Joseph Gentes, Madeline Puccioni, L. Z. Aurora Theatre Company presents the world premiere of EUREKA DAY by Jonathan Spector. At forward-thinking Eureka Day School, all decisions are made by consensus and everyone’s opinion is valued. But when a crisis puts their children in danger, it turns out that Eureka Day parents have different definitions of safety.  EUREKA DAY runs April 13 through May 13, opening April 19 on the theatre’s mainstage.  http://www.auroratheatre.org/eureka-day.

Rachel Bublitz is very excited to be headed to Chicago in March for a staged reading of her full length play ONCE A SPY with 20% Theatre Company Chicago, and to Detroit in April where another full-length, RIPPED, is a finalist for the Detroit New Works Festival.

Nicole Jost’s play SUCIA will run at San Francisco State University’s Little Theatre from March 1-11. SUCIA is a modern adaptation of Cinderella, the story of a motherless young Chicana known only as “Sucia” who dreams of the Ivy League. L.Z. Zephyr’s short play, I’M SURE YOU FIND SOMEONE was showcased in the inaugural St Paul’s Short Play Festival in New Albany, In. on Feb. 14th.

Lana Palmer is directing John Logan’s Tony Award-winning play RED, opening March 23 at the Phoenix Theatre in San Francisco.  She is also directing for THE MUSIC/SCENE, Running Mondays in March at PianoFight.

Alex Moggridge will be playing Sherlock Holmes in BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY at the Long Wharf Theatre in Feb/March. Info here.
