Patricia Cotter‘s play, 1980 (OR WHY I’M VOTING FOR JOHN ANDERSON), originally commissioned by PlayGround as part of the June Anne Baker Prize and developed as part of the 2016 PlayGround Festival, will premiere at the Jackalope Theatre in Chicago, October 17-December 2. http://www.jackalopetheatre.org/shows/1980-or-why-im-voting-for-john-anderson/

Ignacio Zulueta, whose play KANO + ABE premiered at the 2017 PlayGround Festival last spring, is the new Literary Manager at AlterTheater.

Jonathan Spector‘s play, SIESTA KEY, will be part of Crowded Fire’s Matchbox Series in November.

Lana Palmer will be performing in Inferno Theatre Company’s upcoming production of DRACULA, Oct 26-Nov 18th at the Brooklyn Preserve in Oakland. For tickets: infernotheatre.org

Ross Peter Nelson is serving as playwright-in-residence during the month of October at the Can Serrat artist colony outside Barcelona.  While there, he will be developing a new play based on the Spanish artists Dalí, Buñuel, and Lorca.

Rachel Bublitz’s full-length play RIPPED opens October 18th with The Owl and Cat Theatre in Melbourne, Australia for a three week developmental run, her ten-minute play MOM’S HAM is in the Utah New Works Theatre Project’s 10-Minute Play Festival next month, and she was named a finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Heideman Award for her play REALLY ADULT.

Nancy Fishman is Festival Producer for New Italian Cinema, which takes place at the Castro Theatre on November 8 and the Vogue Theatre on November 9-12, 2017. The opening night film on November 8, 2017 at the Castro Theatre is THE STUFF OF DREAMS, which is based on Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST. www.newitaliancinema.org

Madeline Puccioni‘s SARAH GOODIN will share the stage with  six other REPRO/RIGHTS THEATRE  plays and performance pieces,  in a benefit for Planned Parenthood on November 28 at PianoFight in SF!  Get your tickets now — we will sell out.  And Planned Parenthood needs our support more now than ever before!   Also, Madeline has just learned that her LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVERS will be up on its feet for CULTURE PARK’S New Plays Marathon, opening November 11, in New Bedford, Mass. In addition, her one act, THE TALE OF SETSUMI AND HER BELOVED NOBU, will be included in PlayLand Productions GRATEFUL DEADLY show at The Exit in March, 2018.

Jeanie Ngo’s play HADAD will be produced at the EXIT Stage Left Theatre on October 14th as part of the Olympians Festival. Elizabeth Flanagan‘s full length play, HARRY AND MAURA, will have a staged  reading on Sunday October 15 at 2pm at the Phoenix Theatre.
